Best Buy serves customers worldwide with over 1,000 locations. It was founded by Richard M. Schulze in Minnesota in 1966. It operates in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. Today, its CEO is Hubert Joly, a French businessman. 

 

Forbes Magazine named Best Buy “Company of the Year” in 2004 and Fortune Magazine put it on the “Most Admired Companies” list in 2006. Its also been recognized for its genorosity by Forbes. 

 

The popular “Best Buy uniform prank” involves everyday people pretending to be Best Buy employees.

Best Buy’s employee uniform of a blue polo shirt and khakis manages to be both distinctive and the sort of thing anyone might have in their closet. Thats why the Improv Everywhere group thought it would be funny to get people to wear a similar outfit to the uniform and go to a Best Buy store to see what would happen.

Around 80 people showed up in Manhattan to participate in the prank. They entered the shop one by one, and almost immediately started getting asked for help by customers.

Most of the employees thought the prank was hilarious, though a few of the security and managers worried it might be a protest, a cult meeting, or a robbery attempt.
